Privacy Notice
What we hold, why, and for how long.
The plain version of how RITE DIRECTIONS handles personal data, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
RITE DIRECTIONS, Company No. 06592777, registered office Tan Y Marian, Constitution Hill, Penmaenmawr, Gwynedd, LL34 6BA. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration ZA099929. For anything about your information, email hello@ritedirections.co.uk or write to the registered office above.
What this website collects
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your browser remembers only the language you chose, on your own device. The forms on this site open a ready-written email in your own email program; it is sent by your email program, not by the website. If you contact us by email, phone or through one of those forms, we hold the details you choose to give us: your name, your organisation if you offer it, and how to reach you.
Rowan, the AI assistant
Rowan is a digital guide, not a member of staff. Rowan selects from approved answers stored on this website; what you type is not sent to a Rite Directions AI service or kept by us. If you choose microphone input, your browser may use its own speech-recognition service to turn your speech into text. Please do not share names or details that could identify you or a child.
Job applications
When you apply for a role, your answers are saved as you go to our recruitment service, which runs on Cloudflare, so you can leave and come back. Your own browser keeps only your application reference and a secure resume token, in storage that disappears when you close the tab — never your answers. A link to return to your application can be emailed to you on request. Cloudflare also checks that applicants are human when you start and when you submit.
Why we hold it
Only to answer you: to respond to an enquiry, a referral conversation or a job application. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for marketing lists.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as the law and our regulators require, and never longer. When information is no longer needed, it is destroyed securely.
Children’s information
Information about children in our care is special category data and is handled under strict rules, never through this website. The version of this notice written for children is on the children’s privacy page.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to how we use it. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
