Health and wellbeing

Looked after, in every sense.

The practical, unglamorous health care that children in care too often miss, done as routine.

The basics, registered and kept

Every child is registered with a local GP, dentist and optician as a matter of routine, and appointments are kept, not just made. Health assessments, immunisations and glasses do not slip because life got complicated. That is the job.

Therapeutic support

Therapeutic support is woven into each child’s care plan.

The quiet part

Most of what heals here is not an appointment. It is routine, relationship, fresh air, long walks in the hills, and adults who are still there in the morning. Good sleep, decent food and a day with a shape to it are health care too.
